Product Overview:
This processing unit consists of a trimmer, planisher, and end-cutter, specifically designed for post-weld seam treatment of butt-welded wor kpieces. The unit can be configured with an indexing turntable, grinding machine, and re-rounding machine, and supports two automatic loading/unloading mechanisms—robot or flip-transfer device—to achieve safer, more precise, and efficient operation.
Trimmer: Used for planing weld seam residue to obtain a smooth weld surface. Clamping and scarfing operations are hydraulically driven with adjustable clamping and scarfing forces. The scarfing cutter is mounted on a ram, driven by a scarfing cylinder to move forward and backward along linear guide ways on both sides of the machine bed. The clamping cylinder is located at the machine top, achieving parallel clamping through a four-bar linkage mechanism to effectively compensate for work piece thickness variations. Three planing cutters are configured on both upper and lower positions for quick adjustment and replacement.
Grinding Machine (Optional):Used for secondary fine grinding and cleaning of weld seam residue after scarfing. It adopts pneumatic clamping and drives upper and lower grinding wheel sets forward and backward via cylinders to grind and clean the inner and outer weld seams of the work piece.
Indexing Turntable (Optional):Used to establish safety isolation between the operator and robot working zones, ensuring operational safety. When robot loading/unloading is employed, the operator places the scarfed work piece on the indexing turntable, which automatically rotates to position, allowing the robot to retrieve and automatically transfer the work piece to the rolling press.
Planisher: Used for rolling the scarfed weld seam to achieve flush alignment between the weld and base material. Its core design adopts a U-plate internal stress self-balancing system, preventing rolling pressure from acting on the main frame and sliding bearings, thereby reducing equipment wear and extending service life. Hydraulic clamps are arranged on both sides of the weld seam, pressing the work piece through a lever mechanism. The spacing between upper and lower rollers is adjustable to accommodate work pieces of different thicknesses.
End-Cutter :Used for trimming excess weld residue at both ends of the weld seam to achieve flush end faces. It adopts pneumatic clamping with hydraulic-driven end cutting. Clamping distance is adjustable according to work piece width. A positioning pin is set at the front end of the lower arm to ensure accurate work piece positioning. The end-cutting cylinder is mounted at the machine top, driving the work piece downward during cutting, achieving residue removal from bottom to top through downward cutting force.
Re-Rounding Machine (Optional):Used for re-rounding work pieces with flattened straight edges. Re-rounding is hydraulically driven, with dies adopting an upper-lower die arc re-rounding configuration.
